How to lose weight & KEEP IT OFF once and for all!

 

Many people will lose weight in a short time frame only to put those lbs back on a few weeks later. Maintaining your weight loss results is a lot more challenging, so how can this be done?

1️⃣ Change the way you THINK and SEE yourself. Right now you may have gained some weight and you’re no longer comfortable in the body you’re in. Now shift your focus; think and see yourself in the body you DO feel comfortable in. The clearer your vision is, the higher the motivation will be to get there/stay there.

2️⃣Limit/Remove processed foods. 
Processed foods are filled with sugar, salt and additives. These packaged items make you CRAVE more of those types of foods. By switching to a whole foods diet, you will be nourishing your body with the nutrition it needs to thrive properly and limit your cravings.

3️⃣ Get rid of your diet mentality.
Going on a “diet” realistically means you have a start & end date. This is good for accountability and short term goals but if you are really looking to make some changes for good, there is no end date. Living a healthy lifestyle means constantly changing your habits into healthier ones. It means putting in an effort every single day to make wiser choices that will better yourself and your health.

4️⃣ Plan your treats.
Being at a healthy weight that you feel comfortable in does NOT mean giving up your favourite foods for the rest of your life. Planning when you will have those special treats will allow you to find balance by enjoying that treat and moving back on to your regular healthy meals. This ALSO means being okay with your decision and not feeling guilty about what you just ate. Remember that when you are living a healthy lifestyle, there is no messing up on your “diet". There is only continued effort in fueling your body with foods that are nourishing for our bodies as well as good for our soul
