SNACKS – healthy or not?

Although MOST snacks are highly processed and full of additives, there are plenty of heathy alternatives that you can indulge in.

Snacks become healthy when you stick to the basics and include whole foods!

Here are some healthy snack ideas!

-Hard boiled eggs

-Dark chocolate

-Fruit

-Bone broth

-Nuts

-Seeds

(you can make a healthy granola with nuts, seeds, cinnamon, honey and coconut flakes yourself)

-Smoothies

-Dates (we love adding nut butter with dates)

-Kale chips (you can make these at home or purchase them yourself)

-Veggies with almond butter or hummus (peppers, celery, cucumbers with hummus and celery with almond butter)

-Nut butter (you can get them in mini sized packs and carry this around with you)

-Roasted chick peas and/or roasted nuts (simply add some cinnamon, or some other flavours on top to add some taste)

-Tuna packs

-Avocado (just add a bit of sea salt)

And of course you can enjoy homemade brownies, cookies, breads etc.

I love making avocado brownies

Banana nut muffins

Chocolate almond butter bars

Banana oatmeal cookies

Cookie dough bread

When you make things yourself and make wiser choices when it comes to snacking, you never have to feel guilty ;)
