Stress plays a huge role in reaching your fitness & health goals. When we are stressed, a hormone known as cortisol gets released. If you are constantly stressed, your cortisol levels remain high and other issues may arise such as digestive issues, weight gain, memory loss, sleep problems ect.

We all have stress in our lives and this is why it is so crucial to learn how to deal with these stressors. Some way to cope with stress:
1️⃣ Partcipate in parasympathetic activities (activities where your body is in a relaxed state) such as treating yourself to a massage, drink some hot tea, perform yoga, get in some vitamin D from the sun ect ect.
2️⃣ Meditate! Meditating helps to boost the immune system, it helps promote focus and clarity and it also helps improve your sleep & circadian rhythm.
3️⃣ Talk a walk outside. Being in the outdoors decreases cortisol levels and helps to improve your mood.
4️⃣ Find a balance in your exercise routine. Exercise can help to relieve stress but training intensely is also a stress in itself.
